"I am delighted to have been commissioned to do a picture of Whitley Bay, which I can release as part of my seaside poster range. I have done this to sit alongside my Tynemouth artwork.
Whitley Bay is a seaside town on the North East coast of England. Historically in Northumberland, it is administered as part of the borough of North Tyneside in Tyne and Wear.
My picture shows the iconic St Mary's Lighthouse, which is on the tiny St Mary's Island. The small rocky tidal island is linked to the mainland by a short concrete causeway which is submerged at high tide, with seagulls hovering in the breeze and the North Sea stretching into the background you can almost smell the fresh sea air!"
