"I am delighted to have been commissioned to do a picture of Tynemouth, which I can release as part of my seaside poster range. I have done this to sit alongside Whitley Bay."
Tynemouth is a seaside town on the North East coast of England. Historically in Northumberland, it is administered as part of the borough of North Tyneside in Tyne and Wear.
"My picture shows the beautiful golden sandy beach with the iconic castle and priory which is on the headland towering over the mouth of the River Tyne, this historic monument owned by English Heritage is open to the public and has been settled since the Iron Age."
Each year, Tynemouth is home to events including the Mouth of the Tyne Festival and the Tynemouth Food Festival. The village's Metro Station has recently been restored to its Victorian splendor. It has huge weekend markets and is on the Metro link which travels up the Tyne River to Newcastle and round the coast to Whitley Bay.
