Suppliers Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 29 January 2026
These Terms govern the relationship between Cornwall Collective ("we", "us", "the Retailer") and the independent makers or brands ("Supplier", "you") providing products for resale on our platform.
1. The Retail Relationship
- Merchant of Record: Cornwall Collective is the legal Merchant of Record for all customer transactions.
- Contract of Sale: The contract for the sale of goods exists between the customer and Cornwall Collective.
- Supplier Role: You act as the fulfilment partner, responsible for the supply, quality, and dispatch of products to the customer on our behalf.
2. Product Listings & Accuracy
- Data Provision: You must provide accurate descriptions, high-quality imagery, and current stock levels.
- Variations: Any natural variations inherent in handmade or small-batch goods must be clearly disclosed to avoid customer disputes.
3. Fulfilment & Dispatch Standards
- Dispatch Timeline: You must aim to dispatch orders within 5 business days of receiving the order notification.
- Tracking: You must provide valid tracking details immediately upon dispatch to ensure our automated customer notifications are triggered.
- Packaging: Goods must be packed securely for transit. We encourage the use of sustainable packaging that reflects our shared Cornish values.
4. Returns & Quality Assurance
- 14-Day Window: You agree to honour our store-wide 14-day return window for "change of mind" requests.
- Processing Returns: You are responsible for providing a return shipping label and instructions to the customer within 48 hours of an approved request.
- Faulty Items: You bear full responsibility for items that are faulty, damaged, or misdescribed. You must cover all return costs and provide a replacement or a wholesale credit in these instances.
- Fees: We do not pay restocking fees or return label fees for standard "change of mind" returns.
5. Payments & Commissions
- Shopify Collective Partners: Payments and commissions are settled automatically via the Shopify Collective app.
- Manual Partners: For partners not on Shopify Collective, commission rates and payment terms (e.g., Net 30) will be agreed upon in a separate written agreement.
6. Data Protection (UK GDPR)
- Data Use: You will receive customer Personal Information (Name, Address, Phone) solely to fulfil orders.
- Restrictions: You are strictly prohibited from using this data for marketing, adding customers to your own mailing lists, or sharing data with third parties.
7. Termination
- Either party may terminate the partnership with 30 days' written notice.
- Any orders placed prior to termination must be fulfilled under these Terms.
